As almost any word can become co-opted (see sustainability in any corporate ESG report) we want to add some clarity. While we by no means have the authority to say exactly what a more just world must look like we’d like to communicate some things:

 

We support an anti-capitalist, degrowth agenda

Meaning we desire an economic system where neither the main goal nor measurement is based on growth. We believe there is such a thing as having too much and would like to redirect attention from the pursuit of consuming things towards the pursuit of collective care. 

 

We think Universal Basic Income, Universal Basic Services, Job Guarantee, and Work Time Reduction may be a good place to start and we are excited to see your visions and ideas for the post fossil fuel city. See the submission page here
